Shrikhand Kailash is one of the very revered Panch Kailash. Just like other Kailash, Shrikhand Mahadev is also an abode of Lord Shiva. Its peak is 5155 meters high from sea level. Shrikhand Mahadev trek makes your feel close to Lord Shiva. The base camp of the Shrikhand Mahadev trek is located at Jaon Village. The Shrikhand Mahadev trek is undoubtedly one of the most thrilling and challenging treks for adventure lovers all over the world. Shrikhand Mahadev Trek's main attraction is the Shrikhand Mahadev Peak You can witness here a majestic beauty of a Shivling which is 75 ft tall and 46 ft thick. This massive Shiv-Ling depicts the face of Lord Shiva with eyes, nose, and matted hair. During the Shrikhand Mahadev trek, you pass through picturesque villages and settlements such as Singhad Village and Thachru and stop at some of the most breathtaking natural attractions such as the Nayan Sarovar Lake. The best time to trek to the Shrikhand Mahadev Peak is between the full moon day in July to the full moon day in August, because the weather is perfect to enjoy the beautiful route of this trek. This trek requires higher physical strength to complete.

1Day 1 - Chandigarh to Jaon
Reception at Chandigarh and drive to Rampur via Shimla. Rampur Bushahr is a city and a municipal council in Shimla district in Himachal Pradesh. This is a 235 km drive and takes almost 8 hours. Once in Rampur continue your drive to drive to Jaon village through Devdhank, Nirmand, Bagipul, to Jaon. These roads are mostly tarmac and through dense forests and apple orchards. After reaching Jaon village you can stay at Jaon for the night. Jaon accomodation will be home stay. -
2Day 2 - Jaon to Thachadu
Jaon to to Thachdu is a difficult trek and it starts from an altitude of 6873 ft and reaches to 11318 ft (steep ascend). The total distance covered will be 8 km and this may take 8-9 hours to complete. After breakfast at 8 am, we start the trek early morning through the forest to reach Barati Nala (7283 ft). After taking some rest and offering prayers, we start a steep ascent called Dandi-Dhar. After 9-9 hours of tough walk through Devdar forest, we reach Thachdu. At Thachdu if the climate is clear we can have a very distant view of Shrikhand Mahadev. Overnight and dinner at camps in Thachdu. -
3Day 3 - Thachdu to Bhimdwar
Thachdu to Bhimdwar is trekking from an altitude of 11318 ft to 12173 ft. Distance covered will be 16 KM and may take 7-8 hours to reach. After breakfast climb towards Kalighati (2 Hrs at an elevation of 12778 feet) then forward trek to Bhim Talai and then reach Bhimdwar. You can enjoy the scenic beauty of snow-capped mountains, pass through glaciers, and waterfalls along with different kinds of meditational herbs. Kali Ghati belongs to Goddess Kali. Bhim Talai is where(Pandavas stayed for years while in exile. After lunch, we start the trek through alpine flowers and snow bridges to reach Bhimdwar. On the way to Bhimdwar, we can see ibex, mountain mice, and rare Barahmkamal. Overnight at Bhimdwar camp. -
4Day 4 - Bhimdwar-Parvati Baag - Nain Srovar - Shrikhand Mahadev
This day is Parikrama day. Today the total distance covered will be 28 KM up and down. From an altitude of 12173 ft to 17149 ft. The total time taken will be 12-16 hours. Starting from Bhimdwar at 4 am and within 5 hrs of the trek will get us to pass through Parvati Bhag and reach Nain Sarovar lake (14527). Here we take bath and offer prayers to Goddess Parvati for a safe journey. From here the extreme trail starts and oxygen gets thinner due to the high altitude. 4 hours of extremely tough walk/climb through Bhim ki Bahi (15921), we can reach the enormous Shrikhand peak. After offering prayers start to descend to reach Bhimdwar for overnight stay at the camp. -
5Day 5 - Bhimdwar to Thachdu
After sufficient rest to recover from the last day's tough trek, descend towards Thachdu. As it is descending, you can make it in 4-5 hours, and once in Thachdu stay overnight in camps. -
6Day 6 - Thachdu to Jaon.
Leave early morning from Thachdu and trek back to Jaon village through Singhad. Once in Jaon drive to Rampur and rest for the night at the Rampur hotel. -
7Day 7 - After breakfast drive to Chandigarh.
The drive to Chandigarh will again take 8 hours and by eveing you can reach Airport or railway station for your return journey to home. It is advisable to take a late night flight or train for that as the journey to Chandigarh may take longer and thus you may miss your flight or train. Shrikhand is one of the toughest treks in India and if you are successfully completing it you are undoubtedly blessed by Lord Shiva. Return home with blessings and unforgettable beauty of the nature.
