Description
Jyotirlinga literally means Linga of light. In a spiritual sense, it can be elaborated to The all-pervading Brahmatmalinga or all-pervading light. It is mentioned in the Taittiriya Upanishad, that the twelve Principles of Brahma, Maya, the jiva, the mind, intellect, subconscious mind, ego, and the Panchamahabhutas have been referred to as the twelve Jyotirlingas. These are referred to as the twelve sections of the Shivalinga as well. In Sanatan Dharma getting the darshan of all these lingas in a single lifetime is considered as a rare opportunity and blessing from Bholenath. Mahakaleshwar in Ujjain district and Omkareshwar in Khandwa district are the 2 Maha Jyotirlingas of Madhyapradesh. This trip will cover Indore city and some other important, religious, historical places also along with the Jyotir lingas.

1Day 1
Reach Indore and get assisted tranfer from Airport/Railway Station to the hotel. Take a short rest and leave for the city tour and visit the below places as per your time availability.Rajwada PalaceThe biggest tourist attraction in Indore is the Rajwada, built-in 1749 by Malhar Rao Holkar to serve as his palace. The mammoth sevenstoreyed palace, a combination of Maratha, Mughal, and French architectural styles, reaches out to the sky from the chaotic lanes of Khajuri Bazaar, in the heart of the old city.Krishnapura ChhatrisThe beautiful chhatris of Krishnapura and Boliya Sarkar are located on the banks of the Khan river. The chhatris are distinguished by their soaring pyramidal spires, which take on a magical quality when illuminated at night.Lalbagh PalaceSet amidst manicured gardens spread over nearly 72 acres in the southwest of the city is the magnificent Lalbagh Palace, built between 1886 and 1921. The idol was found in a well, it was taken out and a temple was established in 1735 by Ahilyabai Holkar. The gate, and the outer and upper walls of the Garbhagriha are made of Silver and different moods and festivals are depicted on them.Kanch TempleThe beautiful Kanch Mandir near Rajwada was built by the Jain industrialist, Seth Hukumchand, in the early 20th century. The walls, ceiling, floor, and doors, even the paintings and murals here, are all made of glass, with cut-glass chandeliers adorning the ceiling. On the top floor is a special glass chamber that multiplies the images of three Tirthankaras-Adinath, Shantinath, and Chandraprabha-made of shimmering black onyx, to an infinite number.Gandhi HallIndores stunning Indo-Saracenic Town Hall was inaugurated in 1905. In 1948 it was christened Gandhi Hall. It has a four-faced domed clock tower in front, because of which, it is locally known as Ghanta Ghar. -

This day will have a late start. After breakfast leave for Indore city tour and visit the below places as per your time availability. Shri Mahakaleshwar of Ujjayin is known among the twelve celebrated Jyotirlingas in India. The glory of Mahakaleshwar temple has been vividly described in various Purans. When did the Mahakala temple first come into existence, is difficult to tell. However, the event may be assigned to the Pre-historic period and Puranas narrate that it was first established by Prajapita Brahma. The newly built temple corridor is awestruck structure and a must visit. During the one and a half day stay in Ujjain we have to do darshan at Mahakaleshwar temple and later visit the following temples.Harsiddhi TempleHarsiddhi Mata Temple, one of the 51 Shaktipeetha temples of Goddess, located near Rudra Sagar Lake in Ujjain the city of Mahakal, the worldfamous Mahakaleshwar Temple, Madhya Pradesh, India is a very important and popular pilgrimage site of city for a follower of Sanatan Dharma. The Harsiddhi temple stands 13th in the list of 51 Saktipeetas across the world. Harsiddhi Temple temple is within walking distance from Shree Mahakaleshwar Temple.Kal Bhairav TempleThe Kal Bhairav temple is dedicated to Kal Bhairav, the guardian deity of the city. Located on the banks of the Shipra River, it is one of the most active temples in the city, visited by hundreds of devotees daily. Liquor is one of the offerings made to the temple deity. Kal Bhairav Temple is 5 KM away from Shree Mahakaleshwar Temple.Sandipani AshramSandipani Ashram is a holy shrine that is built in remembrance of the Maharishi Sandipani and is considered one of the famous tourist spots in Ujjain. According to mythology, it is believed that this is the ashram where Guru Sandipani used to teach Shri Krishna, his friend Sudama and Lord Krishna's brother Balram. This is 3 KM away from Kal Bhairav Temple.Also visit Bade Ganeshji Ka Mandir, Bharat Mata Temple, Chardham Temple. After these temple Darshan come back and spend time in Ujjain corridor till 10 PM. 4Day 4
Morning journey to Sagar through Bhopal. During this trip, visit Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum and Sanchi known for its "Sanchi Stupas", it is the location of several Buddhist monuments dating from the 3rd century BC to the 12th CE and is one of the important places of Buddhist pilgrimage. On arrival at Sagar check in to the hotel and if time and health allows take a short sightseeing trip Lakha Banjara Lake. On the night drop come back and rest at Hotel. 5Day 5
After early breakfast leave for Khajuraho temple. This journey is 203 km journey and take almost 4 hrs and 30 mins. There are around 22 temples in Khajuraho and according to the time and energy of the group we can try to visit maximum number of temples in the Western Group of Temples. Attend the light and sound show in the evening. Later check-in to the hotel near-by for dinner and night stay. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) -
6Day 6
After early break continue your exploration of Khajuraho at Eastern Group of Temples and the Jain Temples. Later in the afternoon leave for Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. This journey is 173 kms and 2 hr 42 min long. Jhansi fort exploration requires 2-3 hours and the fort closes by 6 PM. If time allows explore Jhansi Fort on the same day. On Night fall check in to the hotel for dinner and rest. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) -
7Day 7
Leave the hotel after early breakfast and explore Jhansi Fort if it was not happened the last day. Then proceed to Gwalior which is a 150 KM journey and takes up to 2 hours. In Gwalior you can explore Saas Bahu twin temples, Gwalior Fort, Surya Mandir Gwalior, and Bada market for an ultimate shopping experience. Later that evening you will be dropped off at the railway station for your onward journey home with splendid memories of this amazing trip. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
