Popularly known as Badoniji, has more than three and half decades of experience in tourism planning management and execution. Born in Tehri Garhwal Uttarakhand, India Badoniji completed his post graduation and then gained his advanced certifications in tourism and elementary hoteliering. As a person born in Garhwal area and has seen yatris reaching the sacred places of this holy land, he was keen in the tourism and hospitality industry right from his school days. After studies he started his career in 1989 as a Public Relations Officer with Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigha, then part of U.P tourism department. When Uttarakhand was born in 1999, he choose GMVN and continued his career as a Marketing and Tourism Development Officer. His extensive service record includes metropolitan cities like, Delhi, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune and Mumbai. As a passionate traveller and a excellent business development strategist he has travelled all over the country and has first hand experience in operating at almost all the pilrimage locations across India. During his service period he has been awarded many time for excellance and best performance. During his Mumbai tenure of 21 years as a Liaison Officer for Uttarakhand, he had organised many national and international tourism and investment meets and seminars for Government of Uttarakhand. After his retirement from GMVN Shri. Om Prakash Badoni became the co-founder of Theerth Yatra and now managing the national and international field operations of Theerth Yatra. As a person who is intimately familiar with Himalayan Terrain, Badoniji is helping thousands of pilgrims every year to reach their dream destinations safely and economically.
